08/06/22 – Just after 06:30 hours, Engine 292 and Ambulance 29 responded first due to the 4700 BLK of Akron St for a report of fire in the house. Engine 292 initiated a split lay and arrived to a split level home with smoke showing and discovered fire showing from the basement after completing a 360. The crew advanced a handline through the Charlie side and began extinguishing the fire. All searches were negative. Photo courtesy of the PGFD PIO.
